“ Ice House is a neighborhood dive bar with cheap drinks and a competent kitchen. Pulled pork sandwiches are popular at $4 each or two for $7. I also recommend the Frito Pie, chili cheese fries, or even the caesar salad. I've been coming for a couple of years, not often enough to be considered a regular, but many regulars do exist and they know how to ask for what they want. It can be pretty hectic at peak hours so make your server interactions cordial and precise; if they want to gab, they'll let you know. The backyard is a fun scene on warm evenings or for weekend brunch. I was back there on a windy day last Fall and the shade umbrellas were blowing all over the place. The poor bartender was very exasperated and I tried to help wrangle the furniture. Glad they've bounced back from those difficult times. This is a classic bar, no frills, though you can obtain a slice of Steve's authentic key lime pie for dessert. You'll definitely feel like a newcomer your first half dozen times, but it's familiar and inviting nonetheless. Leave your bullshit at the door and have an old-fashioned good time. ”
